What is the Kronos Card and how do I use it?

Your Kronos Card is a virtual Visa debit card linked to your Kronos wallet balance. You can use it anywhere Visa is accepted — online, in stores, and in apps.

How to use your Kronos Card

  • Online shopping: Use the card number, expiration date, and CVV from the Card tab in the app
  • Apple Pay: Add your Kronos Card to your iPhone Wallet for tap-to-pay at any Visa contactless terminal
  • In-app purchases: Use it like any other Visa card

Google Pay support will arrive when our Android app launches.

Cashback

  • Free tier: 0.25–0.5% cashback on every purchase
  • Kronos Pro: Uncapped cashback on all purchases

Cashback is credited to your Kronos wallet automatically after each purchase.

Card limits

Your spending limit is your current Kronos wallet balance. There are no separate credit limits — you spend what you have.

Card management

  • Freeze your card: If your phone is lost or stolen, tap the snowflake icon on your Card screen to freeze it instantly. Purchases are blocked until you unfreeze.
  • View transactions: Every card purchase appears in real time with merchant info and category
  • Dispute a charge: Tap any transaction in your history → Dispute charge, or see How do I dispute a card charge?
  • Lost or stolen card: Freeze it immediately, then contact support@getkronos.io to have a replacement issued — most replacements ship within 1 business day for Pro and 3 business days for Free tier

Who issues the card?

Kronos cards are issued through a regulated US card-issuing partner. We're currently in onboarding with several issuers (Stripe Issuing, Lithic, Highnote, Episode Six). The chosen partner will be confirmed at launch and disclosed on your monthly statement. The issuer handles network-of-record fraud monitoring, dispute resolution, and Reg E compliance.
