How do I verify my identity (KYC)?

Kronos uses Plaid Identity Verification for fast, secure ID checks. During sign-up you'll need to:

1. Take a photo of your government-issued ID (front and back for driver's licenses, data page for passports)
2. Take a quick selfie for facial comparison
3. Wait for automatic verification — this usually completes in under 5 minutes

Tips if verification fails

• Make sure your ID photo is clear, well-lit, and not blurry
• All four corners of the ID must be visible — don't crop them
• Avoid glare from overhead lighting
• For your selfie, look directly at the camera in good lighting

You can retry from Profile → Documents & Verification in the app. If verification keeps failing, contact support and we'll arrange a manual review.

What's checked

Plaid IDV checks your ID against government records, runs a face match against your selfie, and screens against sanctions and watchlists. We never pull your credit score — KYC verifies who you are, not your creditworthiness.
